James Lester

 

Owner and founder, of NorthState Welding founded in 2001 in a small shop in Nevada City, where James set out to be a well-known Business owner. From 2001 he slowly grew as a small business, to working alongside his father’s business Lester Enterprises (Louis Lester) in 2005. It wasn’t until July 1, 2014 that they decided to combined the business as Lester Enterprises NorthState Inc. Not only has NorthState Welding grown into a booming business, James decided to purchase the shop where it all started, along with two others on 176 Lower Grass Valley Road.

 

 

James grew up in Rough and Ready CA, where he was involved with 4-H and FFA. That he now contributes back to the community in many ways. Such as supporting the local Nevada County Fair Live Stock Auction(see below), The National Wild Turkey Federation(see below), Celebration of Life – Women’s Triathlon (see below), along with local being a sup contractor for Cal Fire.

 

James also has a background in Forestry beginning with owning his own fire wood business in High School to FFA where he won a State Forestry Award. Before starting NorthState Welding he worked alongside his father at Lester Enterprises, giving him a background and experience in the field of construction.
